The A/R anchor is an adjustable and retrievable friction saver. The sling has a large ring sewed onto one end and a rit ring bound loop prusik on the other. When working with a limb overhead, you can quickly adjust your height by moving the rit ring along the sling. Once on the ground, knot one end of the rope and it will runthrough the large ring. This will catch the small ring and pull the entire system downwards towards you.
