They can be fished in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes alike. Many fish will rise the surface to inspect a dry fly and decide if they want to strike at it or not.

This pattern is tied in different colors to imitate either a golden stone or its larger cousin. Mike suggests fishing this one high and dry to start, but if the fishing gets tough don’t be afraid to trim the wing down and give it a more flush floating appearance.
