The GOTCHA is one of the best known bonefish flies of all time. Designed somewhat by happenstance in the Bahamas. As the story goes, Jim McVay while traveling in a Bahamian taxi decided to clip some carpet fibers on the way to his room. Using the carpet to tie up some flies for the next day's fishing. After several days of catching plenty of bonefish with his new creation his guide began saying GOTCHA every time he hooked up.
